Gun Violence

Along with a mental health and addiction crisis, our district is also one of the highest in the state for gun violence, directly impacting our community healthcare. I will support common sense gun reform in the legislature including background checks, red flag laws, longer wait periods, and reinstating licensure to concealed carry. I will also work with local elected officials and law enforcement to advocate for better funding for violence intervention and gun buyback programs.
